Jan Wise, CFP®, ChFC®, MBA

President and Founder

Jan offers financial planning, incorporating a systematic and holistic approach. She specializes in providing life planning, portfolio management, insurance, and tax strategies for her clients. As a registered representative and investment adviser representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®, member FINRA/SIPC, a Registered Investment Adviser, she is a truly independent advisor who offers specialized guidance in assisting others in achieving their life goals.

Born in New Mexico, Jan settled in Connecticut and completed her BS at Bryant College in 1985. She obtained her MBA from the University of New Haven in 1992. During her years as an advisor, she has received multiple achievement awards and served as a national training consultant to American Express Financial Advisors.

Jan believes in giving back to the community, and she has been a leading fundraiser for the March of Dimes, the American Lung Association, and Rotary International.

In addition to her community work, Jan focuses her charitable efforts on animal rescue. She started and manages a charity, Last Chance Farm Sanctuary in Tennessee, that provides rescue services for dogs and horses. Most dogs are rescued from high-kill shelters and horses from slaughter auctions. These animals are then provided a permanent home on the sanctuary property or placed in new homes based on their unique circumstances.

Jan and her husband, Jeff, have three children. When not working with animals, they enjoy football, wrestling, scuba diving, and riding motorcycles.

Jan works closely with families to help ensure that they too can live their dream and focus on their passions in life. Wise Wealth provides comprehensive and holistic wealth advisory services to its clients.

John D'Agostino

Investment Advisor

John took a keen interest in managing money and planning his future at a young age. By the time he was a teenager, he knew he wanted to pursue a career in finance.

After high school, he decided to further his education at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, while continuing his wrestling career at the Division 1 level.  He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in the spring of 2018.

John’s experience in the financial industry includes working for several firms during and after he completed his academic studies.  While in college, John worked at Best Wise Associates (now Wise Wealth), assisting with day-to-day tasks, client outreach, and investment research.  In the summer of 2017, he worked as an intern for Gottfried & Somberg Wealth Management in Glastonbury.

Following college graduation, he worked for Edward Jones Investments for a short time, moving to Wise Wealth to complete his licensing and to work beside his mother and the firm’s president, Jan Wise. John started his career specializing in student loan consolidation and working with our younger clientele. Currently, John heads our investment and economic research team, while also working one-on-one with our clients. John meets with analysts and utilizes top market research tools to provide up-to-date and knowledgeable investment insight to create diverse and individualized investment portfolios for our clients.

Jennifer Galla

Administrative Assistant

Jennifer joined Wise Wealth in August 2018 as an administrative assistant and brings more than 30 years of administrative experience to our team. Jennifer quickly immersed herself in the finance world and now is primarily responsible for scheduling meetings with all our clients, as well as providing administrative and logistical support to the Wise Wealth team. She handles client correspondences while working with Jan and John directly to ensure that all client accounts are reviewed and that their goals are updated as necessary. Alexandra Lapp

Marketing and Operations Manager

Alexandra joined Wise Wealth in 2022, bringing to the firm valuable skills and experience.

After graduating from college in Pennsylvania in 2010, Alexandra worked in the banking industry before starting her family. As a military spouse and mother, Alexandra knew she wanted to dedicate her efforts to providing stability and care to her young children during their time as an active-duty Marine Corps family. While her husband, Christian, was an officer in the Marine Corps—serving both at home and overseas—Alexandra and her family spent time living in Florida, California, South Carolina, and Virginia.

In Virginia, Alexandra attended the University of Mary Washington, where she received her Master of Education. Alexandra graduated with honors and was recognized and awarded for her excellence in education. She worked passionately as an elementary teacher, but her close-knit relationship and strong family ties with the firm’s advisors, Jan Wise and John D’Agostino, encouraged her to join the family practice and begin a career with Wise Wealth.

Alexandra joined Wise Wealth to provide strategic business planning and operational support to the growing firm. She has completed training provided by Commonwealth and continues to gain knowledge and insight from the experienced members of the Wise Wealth team.

Alexandra enjoys spending time with her husband—now a major and pilot in the Air National Guard—their three children, and their golden retriever, Booker. Together they enjoy traveling, skiing, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with their extended families. She continues to remain passionate about education and looks for ways to support young people in her community.

Cody Rogers

Senior Account Administrator

Cody joined Wise Wealth as a Senior Account Administrator in 2024, with a previous background in consumer banking and asset-based lending.

Born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut, Cody graduated from Southern Connecticut State University School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Outside of work, Cody has inherited his family’s passion for racing, and is actively involved in the local short-track scene supporting his brothers’ racing endeavors in their family-owned car. Growing up in the world of racing, Cody knew how to drive a Quarter Midget before he could tie his own shoes, as his father had him turning his first laps in the car at just five years old. He also serves as a pit-crew member for the local Tour Modified team that competes throughout the Northeast. When not at the racetrack, Cody enjoys traveling, golfing, and exploring new restaurants.
